Real-Time Conversation with Holographic AI Avatars
At a recent global medical conference, our team pushed the boundaries of interactive storytelling with a first-of-its-kind installation: a conversational AI avatar embedded in a holographic display system. The goal? To transform a passive booth visit into a personal exchange — inviting healthcare professionals to engage directly with both doctor and patient avatars in real time.
This wasn’t pre-recorded video content. This was dynamic, AI-powered medical dialogue.
At the center of the experience was our HoloTube HalfPipe — a custom-designed unit combining motion sensors, interactive touchscreens, and transparent holographic visuals. As attendees approached, a motion trigger prompted a greeting. From there, they could ask questions, explore treatment journeys, or just have a conversation — all powered by a trained AI avatar platform.
To create the avatar, we captured a naturalistic, high-resolution performance through a tightly controlled filming process. We call this a Real-Time Conversational Avatar — a digital human designed not just to speak, but to listen, respond, and emote with believability.
Each avatar was trained on a curated medical knowledge base, enabling it to understand physician language, guide conversations with clarity, and — when needed — direct users to Important Safety Information (ISI) on the touchscreen beside them.
The result?
An exhibit that didn’t just talk about personalized medicine — it demonstrated it. Live. Through authentic, emotionally grounded dialogue.
This project shows what’s now possible when holography, AI, and healthcare communication come together. And it’s a glimpse of what the future of medical engagement might look like — clear, personal, and always present.
